Economic-cultural event „Days of apple“ Gorazde 2005 was opened

Great number of agricultural exhibitors from entire BiH and abroad!

In presence of great number of guests, second economic-cultural event „Days of apple“ Gorazde 2005 was opened by Prime Minister of Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde Salko Obhodjas.
For the purpose of promotion of the quality of agricultural products, especially high quality Gorazde apple, this event was first organized by the Government of Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde in 2004. In distinction from the last one-day lasting, event “Days of apple” 2005 in Gorazde this year will last three days, in the course of which many agricultural producers from across BiH and abroad will present their products.

By indication of the attendance rate and interest for participation, this event was as yet as last year declared to be traditional, and this tradition goes back to the ancient history, when this area was known for fruit production in Constantinople, Vienna and Dubrovnik.
Representatives of USAID LAMP, Federal Ministry of agriculture and the organizer spoke about significance of agricultural production both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde. In his speech about importance of agricultural production and individual agricultural produces Prime Minister Obhodjas said, among other things, that agriculture did not develop any country, but that no country was developed without agriculture.
After that, Prime Minister of BPC Gorazde and many guests from entire BiH and abroad made a tour of diversified stands at this fair.
