Operation of the “Children play schools” has been analyzed
Successful realization of the project is a positive example to other Cantons!
On 14 December 2005 Minister of social affairs, health, displaced persons and refugees Nazif Uruci arranged a meeting for the purpose of analysis of realization of the project “Children play schools” in 2005, the joint project of the Government of BPC Gorazde, Ministry of social affairs, health, displaced persons and refugees, the Ministry of education, science, culture and sport and the kindergarten SOS Kinderdorf Gorazde.
Beside the Minister of social affairs, Nazif Uruci, Minister of education, Emira Drakovac and Director of SOS Kinderdorf Gorazde, Alija Lapo this meeting was also attended by the National director of the Agency of SOS Kinderdorf International in BiH, Damir Coric with the associates, the Mayors of all three municipalities of BPC Gorazde and Directors of primary schools from the Canton.
This very successful pilot project of support to family, which realization started on 22 December 2004, is the first one in the Federation of BiH. In the work with children at the age 3-6 in play schools situated in Vitkovici, Bogusici, Osanica, Ustikolina and Praca were engaged the professionals from the kindergarten SOS Kinderdorf Gorazde. This program included children who had no opportunity to attend any kindergarten.
In focus of the second part of the project were the workshops for parents, which included 322 parents, and the complete education process on different subjects took place in the Center for social work and kindergarten SOS Kinderdorf in Gorazde.
The third part of the project was the preventive work in the families with risk. Significant part of the project was work of the teams of family assistants, who were visiting children’s families and offered them all necessary assistance and support.
All collected information is entered in the data base and will be available at the Center for social work and SOS Kinderdorf.
Everybody in the meeting agreed that the realization of the project of children play schools in the area of Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde was successful and that it could be a positive example to other parts of the country, where similar projects are implemented.
