Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde has many natural attractions. Conditions for development of tourism, especially country tourism and adventurism, are excellent for all those who like  nature and camping.

The beauty of Drina River 

The beauty of Drina River attracts swimmers and there are many beautiful beaches and camping places along its banks.

This river and its streams: Praca, Kolina and Kosovska rijeka, abound in opulent fish stock. Drina River is famous for Drina huchen, which can reach 37 kg weight and there are also trout and other spices of freshwater fish, so the fishing tourism is in full swing.

Drina attracts many canoers, rowers and fishermen. Drina River has ideal conditions for kayaking. An unforgettable event is rafting on Drina, by which this river is famous.

High-lying hills

High-lying hills surrounding  local rivers are overgrown with varied deciduous and evergreen trees. Beautiful and pleasant villages at the foot of the neighboring hills are very favorable for country tourism.

Glades on the top of the hills are real health resorts and wide-open spaces rich in varied games, are an excellent mood for hunters.

Hunting-ground and resort “Bijele vode” in Kriva Draga is not attractive place for hunters only, but for all those who like nature.

International Friendship Festival

Every year in August Goražde International Friendship Festival brings together many musicians and artists from many European countries. Motto of this festival is friendship and fun for people of different nationalities from all over Europe.

Natural resources of Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Gorazde

Natural resources of this Canton are considerable, but put to minimum use or almost unused. Prosperity of this Canton, among other things is to explore and use these resources.

Springs of drinkable & mineral water

Springs of drinkable and mineral water are ideal sites for future plants for mineral water manufacturing.

Drina River & its streams

Drina River and its streams have significant hydro-potential and they are ideal places for starting small hydro-electric power plants.

Fruit

Gorazde apple and other fruit are excellent basis for starting up plants for fruit processing.

Wood – processing plans & production of gypsum

This area has favorable conditions for setting up wood-processing plants and gypsum manufacturing, because big land surfaces covered with forest are one more natural resource of this Canton, as well as deposits of gypsum.

Growing wild fruit & medical herbs

Growing wild fruit and medicinal herbs, as well as building tourist- and catering facilities along Drina River and its streams are some of unused tourism capacities of this Canton.
