Good co-operation of the Labor union with the Government of the Canton
On the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the Labor union of BiH Prime Minister of Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde Salko Obhodjas along with the associates hosted a reception for the Chairman and members of the Main committee of the Federation of unions, as well as Chairmen of Labor unions of companies and institutions in the area of Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde in meeting room of BPC Gorazde on 26 August 2005.
This reception was also attended by Mayor of Gorazde municipality Mustafa Kurtovic. By sending the message of congratulations for this important jubilee, Prime Minister Obhodajs said that the Labor union always has the Government of the Canton as a partner for discussion and that has been confirmed by number of actions of this Government, which took active participation in solving the problems of workers of privatized enterprises, especially workers of the companies situated in Vitkovici.
According to the Prime Minister the Government of the Canton will make efforts to help workers in claiming their rights in the future too. It will make efforts to obtain annulment of privatization of companies of former HI “Azot” legally, which was disputed by the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo and take part in negotiations between the Labor union and employers regarding to claims of workers.
Chairman of the Main committee of the Federation of unions of BPC Gorazde Dzemal Kazagic expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister and the Government for their congratulations on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of operation of the Labor union, as well as their confidence and recent co-operation. “This is the only way that the Labor union, in partnership with the authorities, can successfully solve the existing problems of workers, which have been caused by the entire post-war situation” said Mr. Kazagic. He also emphasized that Gorazde Labor union has many responsibilities in order to find the way to help workers from this Canton, where great number of companies was closed or reduced its production to a large degree.
