Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Imre Varga visited Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Gorazde on April 8th 2009. On this occasion Prime Minister of BPC Gorazde, Nazif Uruci organized reception that was also attended by Minister of economy, Mustafa Kurtovic and Mayor of Gorazde Municipality, Muhamed Ramovic.
After words of welcome by the Prime Minister, who commended the initiative of a group of Ambassadors to show their support to this Canton and its local communities with their arrival, the Prime Minister presented the basic information about the Canton.
Opportunity for restoring of BiH economy Ambassador Varga sees in signing the Stabilization Agreement and entrance of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union and as far as the Republic of Hungary is concerned, it will support our country in this process.
On this occasion the Hungarian Ambassador said that Hungary was very interested in investing in energetics, telecommunications, tourism, agriculture and waste recycling and announced the possibility of bigger investments of Hungarian companies and businessmen in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was also a good opportunity to agree possible visit of business delegation from Hungary to Gorazde in order to discuss concrete investment possibilities in this area.
