Joint meeting of the representatives of legislative and executive power and representatives of the Association of demobilized veterans was held on 2 November 2005. In the meeting it was discussed about implementation of the Law on supplementary rights of veterans and topical issues of demobilized veterans, including electricity supply connection in the premises of the Association. When it comes to the implementation of the Law on supplementary rights of veterans, representatives of this Association presented some of supplementary rights of veterans, requesting explanations on how veterans will realize their rights and how these rights have been regulated. They also pointed out a very difficult position of demobilized veterans and their material status, in the first place of the veterans who are unemployed.
The Prime Minister of Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde and his associates agreed that this status of people, who are most meritorious for defense of the country, is disgrace for the state and said that the Government of the Canton will find a way to overcome these problems, taking into account the most jeopardized categories in the first place. Demobilized veterans got a support from the Government of BPC Gorazde and the Chairman of the Assembly of the Canton when it comes to the Ordinance on easy terms for pensioning, which mostly affected the veterans demobilized in 1996, in regard to those veterans who were demobilized in 1997 and it was promised that more efforts would be made in the future in order to resolve this problem.
In the end, all present have agreed that meetings like this one should be arranged more often in order to provide opportunity for discussion, as well as that mutual cooperation should be promoted.
