The Law on supplementary rights of veterans and members of their families has to be implemented in full!
Implementation of the Law on supplementary rights of veterans and members of their families in Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde was a theme of the meeting between representatives of legislative and executive power and members of the Presidency of the Union of disabled veterans of BPC Gorazde. A meeting like this one has already been held with representatives of Associations of demobilized veterans and families of dead veterans with the purpose of finding efficient solutions for application of this Law.
Beside Prime Minister of BPC Gorazde Salko Obhodjas, the meeting held on 14 November 2005, was also attended by Chairman of the Assembly of BPC Gorazde Alija Begovic, Minister of veterans’ affairs Nermana Sofovic, Minister of social affairs, health, displaced persons and refugees Nazif Uruci, Minister of education, science, culture and sport Emira Drakovac and members of the Presidency of the Union of disabled veterans, lead by their Chairman Jusuf Tutic.
On that occasion they had a long discussion about every of 22 rights, which the Assembly of BPC, at the proposal of the Government, adopted in the Law on supplementary rights of veterans. More or less, most of these rights are already being implemented.
Adoption of relative sub-Acts and books of rules concerning this matter is in the procedure, and it has been concluded that this work is to be accomplished by the end of the year in order to plan realization of the supplementary rights of veterans in the budget for next year.
On this occasion, members of the Presidency of the Union of disabled veterans outlined a number of issues encountered by this category of population, concerning provision of orthopedic aids and medicines, housing problems, especially employment, which is one of the key issues in the area of this Canton. More or less, all these problems are part of our Bosnian-Herzegovinian everyday life and similar to those in all other parts of the country, even those that are even more developed than Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde.
As it was concluded in this meeting, it is very important that all mentioned problems of this category are being solved successfully and one of major breakthroughs is construction of the building for representatives of the veterans’ population and acceptable credits for solving of housing problems and other supplementary rights that are representatives of the most deserving category of population entitled to.
At the end, it is very important to emphasize that representatives of the legislative and executive power in Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde in this meeting have confirmed their commitment regarding to the consistent and full implementation of the Law on supplementary rights of veterans and members of their families in accordance with available funds in the budget of the Canton.
