Spomenka Micic, Vice-president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and her associates were in the first visit to Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Gorazde on May 14th, 2008. Members of thie delegation were also Zdravko Beljo, Assistant to the Federal Minister of displaced persons and refugees F BiH and Namik Hadzic, Secretary General of the Red Cross F BiH.
On this occasion Vice-President of the Federation Spomenka Micic met Prime Minister of BPC Gorazde, Salem Halilovic and members of the Government. The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Assembly of BPC Gorazde, Alija Begovic and Vice-chairman of the Assembly, Daliborka Milovic, as well as Chairman of the Cantonal Red Cross, Fadil Jahic and Red Cross Secretary General, Ibro Cuasevic.
Cantonal officials used this opportunity to familiarize the Vice-president of the Federation of BiH with current situation and main problems in functioning of Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Gorazde.
Prime Minister Halilovic outlined the main activities of the Cantonal Government and its Ministries in 2008 and informed the Vice-President of the Federation on main problems of this Canton.
According to the estimations of the Government of BPC Gorazde, support offered by the Federal Ministries is not sufficient when it comes to realization of projects that are important for this Canton. For that reason an accent was put on requiring better support for realization of projects in the area of health, education, social care, agriculture and road communications.
Although she had the opportunity to familiarize herself with the situation in BPC Gorazde through the activities of the Federal Government and the Parliament of the Federation, Vice-President of the Federation Spomenka Micic stressed that the main purpose of her visit was getting information on the situation on the spot.
During her stay in BPC Gorazde, the Vice-president of the Federation of BiH, Spomenka Micic, accompanied by her associates and hosts visited refugee settlement „Belvedere“, and Serb returnees to Gorazde settlement Glamoc.
