Cost-free transport for the most jeopardized students of primary and secondary schools
On 16 September 2005 Prime Minister of Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde Salko Obhodjas and Director of traffic company “Centroprevoz” Hamza Becirevic signed the Contract on transport of students from primary and secondary schools from BPC Gorazde for this school year. Contract signing ceremony was also attended by Emira Drakovac, acting cantonal Minister of education, science, culture and sport.
According to this Contract, the Government of BPC Gorazde (80%) and “Centroprevoz” (20%) will bear the transport costs for students of primary and secondary schools who are members of families of dead veterans, members of families of disabled veterans, missing or demobilized veterans and socially jeopardized families with monthly income less than 100 KM.
From this school year there is one novelty. Students whose place of living is more than 4 km away from school, will have cost-free transport in distinction from the last year, when they had to participate with 40% of own funds. “Centroprevoz” Gorazde, which will provide transport services to students from Pale-Praca municipality in this year, had the best bid in the tender, and according to director Becirevic, the employees of this company will make their efforts to adapt the timetable to the need of students and schools. For realization of the Contract, the Government of BPC Gorazde and its Ministry of education, science, culture and sport will allocate funds to the amount of 50.000,00 KM per month.
