Possible pilot projects in Gorazde too
On September 24, 2007 representatives of the Delegation of European Commission to BiH stayed in Gorazde and on that occasion they visited Minister of economy in the Government of BPC Gorazde, Elfad Masala. Mayor of Gorazde Municipality, Mustafa Kurtovic also participated in this meeting.
Operation Manager in Agricultural sector of European Commission Delegation to BiH, Vesna Grkovic and Consultant for agricultural issues, John M’Cormack stayed in Gorazde on the invitation of Swiss Caritas for purpose of exploring the models of successful co-operation in local communities. The meeting was the opportunity to get more information on agriculture of this Canton and willingness of the authorities to participate in co-financing of future pilot projects of EC in the area of Gorazde and Upper-Drina region. The participants also discussed the issues of co-operation of government with non-government sector, businessmen and agricultural producers, as well as projects of rural development to be implemented in this canton with the funds of EC.
The Government of BPC Gorazde participated in co-financing of EC projects before and if Gorazde is part of plans and pilot projects of this European institution, it will meet all demands successfully, it was stressed at the meeting.
