There will be no strike in secondary schools!
There will be no strike of educational workers in secondary schools in BPC Gorazde, announced for 30 January 2006. This decision was made on 27 January 2006 after intensive negotiations of the two negotiations teams, the Government of BPC Gorazde and the Cantonal Committee of the Federation of unions of secondary education.
After presenting arguments, among which there are also evidences that salaries of professors have never been lower than the salaries of civil servants and with great understanding of educational workers for the current situation concerning the Budget of BPC Gorazde, the agreement on salary basis has been reached. It should also be stressed that there is a possibility of promotion of educational workers in accordance with the Book of rules that is to come into effect on 1 March 2006.
Classes in all secondary and primary schools in Bosnian-Podrinje canton Gorazde in the second semester of the school year 2005/2006 started on Monday, 30 January 2006.
Minister of education, science, culture and sport, Emira Drakovac will start negotiations with the Labor union of primary education on 31 January 2006 in order to achieve the agreement on the unique coefficient for salaries accounting of educational workers employed in elementary schools in this Canton.
